Personal opinion - I am convinced humanity will never reach “StarTrek” levels of goodwill. It will be a constant struggle with each few generations having to relearn everything all over again. Which can seem disheartening , (like right now,) but what it means is that your individual actions are even more important and can be pivotal. Any one of us can be the butterfly whose wings can cause a storm of good decisions by others, (or not.)

To be fair, there was a glitch in the Kinja'd that delayed my Oppo return last week.  As for The Cigar Lounge, I just didn't have anything that I wanted to post during that time except for a couple but somebody beat me to it.

I think you’re correct, but I don’t think we ever really learn anything that would necessitate relearning . Ask eastern European Jews if much changed after WWII. The Soviets liberated many of the worst camps, and went right on persecuting Jews (and many other people).

The Germans had been exterminating people before the Nazis showed up.
